Welcome!

Women of New Valley Downtown,

I am genuinely honored to be delving into the book of Philippians with you over the next few months. This blog has been put together to help facilitate an online study that, I hope, will encourage us to faithfully be in the Word as well as provide a platform where we can regularly communicate and connect with one another despite the busyness of life. My hope is that this spot of the internet, dedicated to our women, will be a regular source of encouragement, continually pointing us to Christ and spurring us on to live lives of holiness.

The layout of the study is as follows:

Each month (February thru May) we will work through a chapter of Philippians. The pace is slow and steady, focusing on just a few verses each week (with the exception of week one!). At the beginning of each month I will also assign a verse from the current chapter and encourage us to commit that verse to memory. I have been greatly blessed by the passages I have committed to memory long after I've learned them and I am certain that all of us will greatly benefit from writing God's Word upon our hearts.

Every Sunday night you can find the information and assignments (link to a word doc) for that particular week. These are for personal use. There wont be any submitting or forced comparing of notes. What you get out of the study, really, comes from what you put into it. Some of us can spend more time than others and that's ok. The point is to be in the Word and to grow as the Lord would have you in whatever season you currently find yourself in.

I will also post discussion questions on the blog to facilitate dialogue via comments. Because of this, the blog is set to private. No one can see it except for the women in this study.

Sarah and I are praying for all of you. Not just with the study but throughout the year. That the Lord would make Himself more known to you, that you would grow in knowledge of His Word and that the fellowship of the women in our church would grow in genuine depth.

Anchored in Christ,
